Another not so correct decision by Govt. of India

I am so shocked to know the views of people on Govt. of India's (likely) decision of not summoning the Army to fight against Naxals. What people are concerned about is that it's not Army's job to tackle the Naxal problem but rather since it's internal aggression so it must be taken care of by the concerned state Police and paramilitary forces.
No offence to anyone, but may I ask why has the demand for summoning the Army to help the local police and the paramilitary forces been made in the first place.Folks, this is because the established institutions are finding themselves incapable to deal with the Naxalites.Hence, the request by home ministry.
Secondly, they say that the Army is not designed for operations against Naxals, but could anyone tell me is it not the foremost duty of any Army personnel to save the common man from being killed by enemy, irrespective of the threat being external or internal ? Look, nowhere do I contradict the fact that Army's main job is to guard the country against external aggression, all I'm saying is that would you prefer the Army to sit and wait until its services are required against external aggression rather than deal with the menace which is right on the top of your head ? At this point, I'd also like to clarify that I absolutely do not intend to mean that the Army's presence at any of the areas of their current deployment around the country can be afforded to be compromised by removing them from there.Again, all I'm saying is that it could be reduced slightly so that some of the best trained soldiers could come handy against Naxals in affected zones and meanwhile paramilitary troops (untrained for jungle warfare) which are being sent to these areas can be sent to their zones in their place.I guess that's fair enough. This would in no way compromise the national security and at the same time trained soldiers would be a big help to the jawans of various agencies already present there.
One more thing, I'd like to add is that it is no hidden fact the Army jawans are not only more capable than paramilitary ones but also better trained and further more disciplined. So even just an Army Officer in-charge would be a big help to the police and jawans there and his experience would come handy in various situations beyond any doubt.
Finally, to the last point that I came across, about training paramilitary troops and then deploying them in affected zones, I'd like to remind that this problem has already gotten huge and they (Naxals) are gaining more strength with each day passing. So we don't actually have a single day to lose and the need of the hour is dealing with iron fist with them.Hope you get the point. And side by side this training thing can continue and as more paramilitary and police jawans complete training they can replace the Army soldiers from these zones (who can get back to their original zones of services then).
And yes, one point where I agree to with them without any ifs and buts is that political will and corruption free governance is required to kill the very roots of the problem since this is what gave birth to this problem at first place. And we all know the only possible mechanism to achieve this is to have rapid development of these areas.Until this is ensured,no amount of military actions would suffice...

Things got all different all over again...

Well, it was 10 seconds past six in the morning as I just finished watching Sin City on ma Vaio.
I've been kind of shivering since then. You know, I've watched such a great number of amazing movies over the years and on varied subjects too but this one was different, absolutely fresh.Ha, nopz this ain't gonna be no movie review if that's what you have begun to wonder it was gonna be.
This is no place for movie reviews. Also there are zillions of sites dedicated for the above task so why won't I go there and pen down a few ideas with words of appreciation for ma favourite movie and stars. That's why I said that this wasn't gonna be a movie review, though I bet I won't be able to look away from the movie subject and the maker at anytime since that's what brought me back to blogging after almost two years gap while wondering to return a couple of times and hoping to become a dedicated one periodically.Specially after regularly hearing and reading about everyone becoming one these days with the likes of Shashi Tharoor and numerous celebrities though they don't exactly blog but tweet...
Anyways returning to the main topic, first of all I'll admit that I am totally overwhelmed, awed and astonished as I just completed watching it.The base topic that has been chosen is itself centuries old but the treatment's been absolutely fresh. The entire story is basically divided into three segments; each independent of remaining. As the movie begins, you fail to fully connect to what's been going on and feel like a psychopath made the movie and that is what movie is all about, but as the movie begins to unfold you tend to realize what it actually means to exhibit. One thing that's common in all three parts is the feeling of love (actually respect would be a better word) and caring attitude the maker has for women, irrespective of who she may be and whatever may her job be..You know, it's a jungle out there not everyone is equally concerned for anyone or for that purpose bothered about doin what actually is correct. But a man gotta do what he gotta do irrespective of what others have been doin. And that is what makes the movie click.
Well, all of us love the idea of doin noble things and being famous (or at least appreciated) for that but how many are actually comfortable of doin something really good but suffering themselves for that noble deed of theirs and especially if you were to suffer for infinity.Answered honestly will give you the idea what the maker has attempted to do.He shows three men in different circumstances doin something greatly virtuous and magnificent only to risk their lives and lose it eventually.Hey, if you think only men could do it, think again..Well, he also shows few very fine women exhibiting the same grand morality and not buckling under the risks involved. All in all, the movie can be viewed under several viewpoints and you may well choose whatever be convenient for yourself. But as far as my opinion goes, I'll say that it attempts to show that no matter how cruel the world is, there would always be good men and more importantly that even not all bad men are entirely evil. I mean, just as represented by the first and second plots, there may be a criminal doin a cop's job (and vice-versa true too) and still not wishing to get any rewards or recognition for it.Like I said, a man gotta do what he gotta do.
So, the verdict according to me is, do what is right instead of bothering what your neighbour/colleague/friend/partner may be doin.It may not make a hell lot of difference to the world but it's your opinion of yourself that counts at the end of the day, not what the world or others think of yourself.
You know, many years back I read this quote somewhere, Care For The Character and Not The Reputation. The difference between the two was explained as well. And it said, "character is what you think of yourself while one's reputation is what other people think of you". Everybody knows that we can cheat anyone and everyone but ourselves. So you get the drift.

Life Diaries

This is not a new experience that I came through today.Rather it's something which reminds me time over time that sometimes we tend to forget or ignore our dear ones in our happy times when we don't require them. Thus failing to make them a part of our good times .I have realized again and again that humans are selfish not just caring about self-interest,hurting feelings of others at times. And that doesn't at all mean that I'm all perfect or pure saint but the only difference I feel when I think of myself is that firstly I'm a bit less less selfish than others I know (though howsoever little less !!). Secondly I introspect at times and realize if I did something wrong, thus making a point to try and not repeat it intentionally.

However I don't find others even ever introspecting, rather they always find other's fault who might sometime feel that they had been cheated by them. But I don't blame them 'cause it's not their fault actually since it's inherent in the human nature to find fault in others and consider ourself faultless.I could give a thousand examples to prove my point and the biggest is here itself evident. The fact that I am writing this post is 'cause I felt hurt today because of a close friend of mine. But that may be correct from my point of view but had I been in his shoes today, I doubt if I wouldn't have acted any differntly(though what he had done was actually wrong but still I feel that I'd have done the same).

But if he has done that I feel hurt. Why?Somewhere I know that what he has done is wrong but that was the only thing possible. So what am I frustrated at actually?Him or the circumstances?

Ask me and I'd fail to answer.Frankly I don't myself know. But as this day gets over, I know I'd forget this and get along with him but one thing is for sure that our friendship won't the same ever again.Look I'm being partial but that's the human nature.

More importantly, the lesson that it made me learn today is that we must realize the effects of our actions before we proceed. Though we may be deprived of some things in our life which may matter to us but we wont' regret that we did anything which was wrong to the slightest extent.
Though what I ssid is difficult to do but once you bear the pain, you won't find it difficult any longer. We mustn't never forget others in our happy time since what is our good time might turn time to be difficult time for our friends.

Signing off with the promise that I will continue to work in the direction of my self-interest but at the same time I'd make sure that I'm not being selfish and hurt anyone at all.
